Palm Sunday with the FSSP in Reading

The church of St William of York was fuller than I have ever seen it. The empty spaces in the pews in some of the photos are reflective only of the fact that there was a very long queue for confession!

  1. Unfortunately the EF in Holy Week means using the 1955 OHS which was a botched job, giving a clear foretaste of what can happen when so-called experts are given free rein to 'improve' the liturgy. Evelyn Waugh, John XXIII and Cardinal Heenan were among many who found it deplorable. In some respects the Novus Ordo in Latin is preferable - it's arguably more coherent.
