It seems an excellent idea. My family and I are in a TLM desert (not even any decent NO masses as far as I know), and can't travel far for a visit of a few hours, but could happily do so for a whole day or more. The present crisis calls for the re-sanctification of the liturgy and that is a suitable objective for followers of the Gregorian Mass.

Two ideas. The first being to pursue the full re-establishment of the Tridentine Mass in ordinary parishes, on Sunday am, not Thursday pm, by contacting and encouraging the growing number of priests who are sympathetic to the ancient Mass. They now do not now need the permission of their bishop, although an informative note, and a word of explanation would not go amiss.

The second is to pursue the re-sanctification of the Novus Ordo Mass, which many of us have to attend, returning it to a Redemptive Sacrifice rather than a social get-together and commemorative meal. For example, reduce the number of hymns, of emHCs, of politically correct bidders and bidding prayers, calm down the “sign of peace” excesses, and above all a more appropriate reception of Holy Communion.

All this to be done by personal contact with fellow Catholics and priests, letters to bishops etc and above all by personal example.
Jacobihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04743062941733814176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30490922.post-89067342083075181342013-02-19T18:42:36.665+00:002013-02-19T18:42:36.665+00:00Yes, but it has the problem of the liturgy. Our mutual friend JG left it after attending a Mass at a supra-parochial level (at the parish level it had been bearable, if not EF).

You can't establish a group spirituality if there is no consensus about the liturgy.Joseph Shawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06587987442560784792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30490922.post-65277079996626337102013-02-19T17:49:16.088+00:002013-02-19T17:49:16.088+00:00 No mention of the LEGION OF MARY .
