But instead of listening to this SUCCESSOR TO THE APOSTLES, the Pope listened RATHER TO THE SUCCESSORS OF THE PROTESTANT HERETICS AND THE RATIONATIONALISTS. The NO is NOT the Mass of Vat II; it is the Mass of Paul VI. Fact is that the Interim Missal did just what the Patriarch was wisely advising. What SHOULD have happened is a long period of study on how to apply Vat II on the Liturgy. Paul VI simply imposed without prudence what was presented to him with very little change. IF THE BISHOPS HAD REFUSED TO ACCEPT HIS IMPOSITION AND IGNORED HIM AND KEPT THE INTERUM MISSAL with much of the ceremonial artfully kept, THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN AN ORGANIC DEVELOPEMENT OF THE RITE. It was the exaggerated papal form of clericalism (ie. that by becoming a cleric one is ipso facto more intelligent, wise, and the Boss who knows better than others that is to be childishly followed. Maybe the Franciscans of the Immaculate should take the pope's advice as well:<br /><br />Pope Francis: "They will make mistakes, they will make a blunder [meter la pata], this will pass! Perhaps even a letter of the Congregation for the Doctrine (of the Faith) will arrive for you, telling you that you said such or such thing... But do not worry. Explain whatever you have to explain, but move forward... Open the doors, do something there where life calls for it. I would rather have a Church that makes mistakes for doing something than one that gets sick for being closed up..."<br />Let these words be translated into actionAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09293882573347648902noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30490922.post-19600252896907891342013-12-15T20:09:23.331+00:002013-12-15T20:09:23.331+00:00They have been accused of a traditionalist drift. ...They have been accused of a traditionalist drift.
