Last weekend the Latin Mass Society had a presence at the second We Believe Festival, which took place at Oscott Seminary near Birmingham.
For the second year we sponsored the Southwell Consort to sing at the Traditional Mass and Offices, but this was the first time we had our own stall. It was a splendid occasion in all sorts of ways. Manning the stall didn't leave me much time to attend the talks (and on Saturday I was at a chant training day in London), but High Mass was a definite highlight. It was celebrated in the lovely chapel by Fr Guy Nichols and accompanied by the Southwell Consort, and was packed.
At our stall we had tote bags to give away with various goodies inside. We'll also have a stall at the Evangelium Conference next month.
The organisers are to be congratulated for bringing together much of what is best in the Catholic Church in this country.
