Some years ago the Diocese toyed with the idea of selling the property to the local university [Holy Name, Manchester all over again]. Then one of the Traditional orders sought to take it over. The then bishop saw this as a retrograde step and one which would have a deleterious financial effect upon surrounding parishes. Out of the mouths ....... !
