Fr Scott Tanner's First High Mass in Dorchester
Fr Scott Tanner, a native of Reading, has been ordained to the priesthood for the Institute of Christ the King. He said a 'first Mass' in St Birinus, Dorchester on Thames.
I was unable to attend as it clashed with the LMS AGM, but here are some photos.
There are more here.

Every time you mention Mass in Dorchester, my heart leaps in hope. Then I realise that you are referring to a little village in Oxfordshire [population 992] rather than my county town [population 19,143]. With the new pp on his way to Dorchester [Dorset], I fear that the faithful there will still have to travel a long way to get to a Mass in the EF
ReplyDeleteSorry! Dorchester on Thames is local to me.
DeleteOn the other hand, I believe you have no fewer than four Catholic martyrs executed in your Dorchester.
I hope the new PP is amenable.
One hopes this is the harbinger of many more English vocations to the Ecclesia Dei societies - it can only help in restoring tradition to England proper.
ReplyDeleteDo we know what Fr. Tanner's first assignment is going to be? Too much to hope that it might be at the Dome or the Spire?
