For the Universal Church it is the Feast of the Ascension today.
We have some reason to hope that by next year the whole Catholic Church in England and Wales will celebrate this feast on the same day as the Holy Father in Rome: we are, after all, Latin Rite Catholics. For the moment, if you want to do this you can go to Mass in the Extraordinary Form. Here in Oxford there are two Low Masses:
12.15 in the Oxford Oratory
6pm SS Gregory & Augustine
Just outside Oxford there will be a splendid Solemn Mass with more polyphony than you can eat:
7.30pm, St Birinus, Dorchester on Thames.
